Bio
Years ago in Equestria’s southern tropical region, there was a volcanic island that was constantly surrounded in mist. The locals called it Isla Bromusa, “Misty Island.” At some point in its history it was explored as a possible settlement by ponies, but it was quickly abandoned after the volcano erupted. Sometime afterwards the island became a territory for dragons that were drawn by the area’s heat. For fifty years the dragons populated the island on and off. But about twenty years ago there was some sort of incident that caused practically all life on the island to be wiped out. Somehow a single egg managed to be spared from the mysterious calamity, rolling from its nest and ending up in a rickety wooden boat on the shoreline left behind by the early ponies. It was soon swept up by the tide and set drifting out to sea.

The boat eventually made shore on the beach of a resort at nearby Puerto Caballo, and was happened upon by a pegasus filly named Silvermist, who was vacationing there with her family. Her discovery was soon noticed by the tourists, staff and her parents. Some of the locals were immediately frightened once recognizing it as a dragon egg. One old stallion even screamed that egg should be destroyed. But the bold little filly refused to let anyone come near it, ready to defend it with her life. The commotion even caught the attention of the resort manager and his wife, the latter of whom was touched by her commitment to protecting the young life. After some convincing by his wife, the manager decided they would raise it as their own, allowing Silvermist to help care for the egg until it hatched. When the egg finally hatched two weeks later, the baby dragon still drew ire from some of the staff and guests. The old stallion preached against the manager keeping him, saying the dragon’s presence would bring nothing but strife. She referred to it as el último demonio fuego de la Isla Brumosa: “the last fire demon of Misty Island.” Silvermist took a one small phrase of the derogatory title and named the baby dragon Ultimo, as the island region's last dragon.

Life was fairly peaceful for Ultimo as he grew. Eventually the locals became quite fond of the young dragon. As he got older, Ultimo began to wonder about where he came from and his place in the world as a dragon among ponies. When he grew old enough and sprouted his wings, he began the first of many sojourns to forge an identity for himself. Travelling to the dragon lands, he observed younger teenage dragons from afar, and was repulsed by their behavior. On his way back he ended up in Manehattan. That’s where he met Lady Canna Thorn, who treated him to tea. She not only gave him not insight into aspects of dragons beyond what he had seen, but wise counsel on choosing his own path and exemplifying the best of both species. He gained an incredibly deep respect for her after this. Ultimo would return home to his family inspired by her words, and sought to conduct himself as such for the rest of his life. Since then he’s traveled to many places over the years, all over Equestria and beyond, eventually settling down in Baltimare with a pegasus roommate.

Ultimo's a very powerful, Ultimos is a very gentle, reserved, and level-headed young dragon. He typically acts as the emotional anchor for the more robust personalities of his roommates. His journeys throughout Equestria and beyond have taught him a handful of tricks, including several different martial arts. Much of his free time is spent reading and meditating. He’s also a wiz on the piano.
